THE ROOTS OF PURÉALITY
A family story that began 200 years ago
In 2018, leafing through a family album carefully assembled by his mother, Nicolas de Klebnikoff is intrigued by a letter mentioning a botanist ancestor from the 19th century, an explorer commissioned by the Tsar.
He discovers that this man, Alexis de Levchine, mapped the steppes of Central Asia and recorded unpublished observations on plants and their medicinal uses in a 500-page work.

Adaptogenic plants, a family affair
After much research, Nicolas de Klebnikoff finally got his hands on this book, « Description des hordes et des steppes Kirghiz-Kazaks ». It arrived in Hong Kong, where his long career in the cosmetics industry had taken him over several decades.
He discovered an adventure story rich in discoveries and observations, but above all a herbarium teeming with detail, describing for the first time what we now call adaptogenic plants, capable of surviving the most extreme conditions.

A pioneering vision
Nicolas was immediately struck by a powerful intuition, confirmed by a formulator friend. The cosmetic potential of these plants was immense.
The Puréality odyssey begins. Without altering it, drawing from Nature's most resilient and powerful elements, and putting them to work in the service of beauty.

Nature and Science, Heritage and Innovation
Years of research and innovation, and a few meetings later, the first Botanical Biotech skincare product was born.
Puréality was born in 2020 in Asia, a bridge between heritage and avant-garde, between scientific precision and botanical intuition, between the expertise of “French Pharmacy” and the demands of Asian beauty rituals.
In the 19th century, an adventurous ancestor set out to map an unknown world. Two hundred years later, Puréality is inventing a new territory: that of the Botanical Biotech revolution.
