AT THE ROOTS OF PUREALITY

An explorer ancestor, pioneering founders and a lot of research .

In 2018, while leafing through a family album carefully assembled by his mother, Nicolas de Klebnikoff was intrigued by a letter mentioning a 19th-century botanist ancestor, an explorer commissioned by the Tsar. He discovered that this man, Alexis de Levchine , had mapped the steppes of Central Asia and recorded in a 700-page book unpublished observations on plants and their medicinal uses.

Adaptogenic plants, a family affair

After several months of research, he finally got his hands on this book, The Kyrgyz and Kazakh Steppes. It reached him in Hong Kong, where his long career in the cosmetics industry had taken him for several decades. He discovered an adventure story rich in discoveries and observations, but above all a herbarium teeming with details that described for the first time what we today call: adaptogenic plants, capable of surviving the most extreme conditions.

Nicolas was immediately struck by a powerful intuition, confirmed by a formulator friend. The cosmetic potential of these plants is immense.
